Update Tracker

Update Tracker processes configured sources and tracking records locally in the browser. It does not require an account or upload bookmark collections to TabCove.

Data processed

When you configure a source and start a check, the extension processes the source URL, query, page title, result text, links and relevant metadata needed to show incremental updates. It stores subscriptions, read states, settings and optional exports in Chrome storage.

If you use optional bookmark or local download comparison features, it reads the records needed for the comparison you requested.

Network access

Requests are made only for configured checks or actions you start. In tab mode, the browser may send an existing session cookie to the configured site; the extension reads rendered HTML for parsing but does not export cookies or send them to TabCove.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell extension data or use it for advertising. Local records remain in the browser profile until you clear extension data or uninstall the extension.
